The book is a socio-legal interdisciplinary study of gender and diversity in multicultural societies of Europe. It uses the framework of relational collectivism and individualism to analyses narratives of single Danish-Pakistani women in Denmark. the book demonstrates that social and legal traditions are not static but are the product of improvisation.
