I am a historian working primarily with questions of nationality and sexuality in the twentieth century. More specifically, I study Danish-German cultural connections and social movements, Danish queer history, and HIV/AIDS. I have a special interest in queer cultural heritage and archives.
I am currently (2024-2026) a postdoc on the a project, investigating the notion of "open-mindedness" in Denmark, as well as Danish-German queer connections. The project is funded by The Augustinus Foundation.
I have previously been a part of the project "CHAD A Cultural History of AIDS in Denmark" funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, and studied minority and border questions at the Centre for Border Region Studies at the University of Southern Denmark.
