Primary fields of research
Mammalian acid-base homeostasis and associated signaling events in health and disease. Structure-function relations, regulatory interactions, physiology and pathophysiology of acid-base transport proteins, with a focus on the Na+/H+ exchanger NHE1 and the Na+,HCO3- cotransporter NBCn1.
