My DVSci theis is within molecular genetics of the domestic pig and subsequent research has been directed at gene expression and chromosome abnormalities in the earliest stages of embryonic developement. In the later years, these studies have been supplemented with investigations of oocytes and the importance of genomic imprinting for fetal development. Further, I work with gene expression analysis of equine joints and tendons, including the perspective of stem cell therapy. I teach biochemistry, physiology and cell biology to veterinary, animal science and biology-biotechnology students.
