Olaf Corry
Olaf Corry's research focuses on how international politics and environmental politics intersect, in particular the international politics of climate change and the security implications of climate engineering technologies. He came to Copenhagen University from a position as Lecturer at The Open University, UK, where he published work on resilience and environmentalism in global governance and co-wrote and edited a new OU textbook in global politics. Previously he had been a post doctoral scholar at Cambridge University where he researched the political sociology of risk and climate change in global governance and studied radical environmentalism and technology policy. He has taught and supervised at undergraduate and masters level at the OU and Cambridge. He gained his Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen with a thesis theorising and studying the formation of a global polity through expert economic knowledge and its contestations. Immediately after his Ph.D. Olaf worked as an advisor and speech writer for the main opposition party in the Danish parliament.
