I am a DVM and during my phD I have done research within a cardiac disorder in dogs (mitral valve disease). I currently continue my research within cardiovascuar disease and pharmacogenetics as a postdoc researcher.
I am part of the Veterinary Pharmacology research group and my research is focused on valvular heart disease; in particular identification and significance genetic polymorphisms (physiologic significance and response to medical treatment) in dogs with spontaneous myxomatous mitral valve disease.
