My research concerns nutritional, metabolic and endocrine pathways in early life and how this impacts health and disease in the newborn. Of particular interest is the development and function of the gut. I work with specialized and clinically relevant experimental animal models of disease and utilize these to investigate mechanisms of action and clinical safety/efficacy of nutritional and pharmaceutical therapies.
