Research
I have a broad interest in hearing and spoken language perception, and there's usually some neural measurement involved becuase it ALL happens in the brain.
Currently I am investigating the role of attention in the perception of speech contrasts, and doing translational work on the lateralized readiness potential (bereitschaftspotential) as a clinical tool to resolve functional hearing loss. I'm also involved in a project investigating rhythmic influences on speech perception/production in normal and clinical groups with Prof. Kirrie Ballard (Sydney) and Courtney Hilton (Harvard).
Motivation for my work comes from my background as an Audiologist, and it's also informed by my own unilateral hearing loss.
Teaching
As an educator I'm affiliated with the combined Speech Pathology and Audiology program at the University of Copenhagen. In this role I'm heavily involved in convening the audiology side of things.
Undergraduate - AUD 1 technical, AUD 2 Rehabilitation
PhD-level course in EEG research methods
