My reserach interests revolve around: Conditions for anoxia in sedimentary basins through Earth History; Earth’s geobiological co-evolution; Paleoceanographic and paleoclimatic processes in the Mesozoic greenhouse world; Numerical modeling of physical paleoceanography; Mathematical modeling of biogeochemical cycling with simple and complex coupled biogeochemical-ocean-atmosphere models; Incorporating geochemical tracers (proxies) in the models for direct comparison with the rock record; Modeling of basin and global scale sedimentation as drivers of ocean geochemical changes; Modelling 3D distribution of source rock
