Bitao Qiu
Guest researcher, Guest Researcher
I am a Postdoc in Guojie Zhang's group in the section of evology and evolution, University of Copenhagen. My research interests include genetic mechanisms in division of labour, evolutionary systems biology, and evolutionary developmental biology in social insects. Previously I was a 3+5 PhD student co-supervised by Jacobus Boomsma and Guojie Zhang and has been working as a bioinformatics engineer in BGI. Currently I am working on the origin and evolution of genes in caste system and evolutionary developmental transcriptomes in social insects. Proficient in bioinformatics analysis with skill in statistics, programming, and machine learning modelling. Familiar with entomology field work and dissection, and basic molecular biology.
