Great opportunities for writing your Master's thesis with us
Are you an MSc student with an interest in biomedical research, and are you looking for an exciting research project? Then we encourage you to get in contact with us.
Primary fields of research
We develop and utilize specialized animal models to address important issues in the period around birth. We have a particular focus on premature birth, early nutrition and gut colonization in relation with growth and development as well as the prevention of life-threatening infections.
Current research
In the project PrePhage, running from 2021-2024, we investigate in mechanistic details and using premature piglets how transplantation of bacteriophages (bacteria-infecting viruses) derived from donor feces is capable of preventing the life-threatening bowel disease necrotizing enterocolitis.
