After years of working with educational issues related to firstly ethnic minority children and later university students, I returned to my previous engagement with traditional producers of craft in India in order to collaborate with painters on writing their stories.
Primary fields of research
My primay interest is exploring creative writing as a path to analytical insights. My forthcoming book Painting stories: Lives and Legacies from an Indian Crafts Village is based on my work with Indian crafts producers over a period of 30 years. I have recently started writing Etnografisk tekst in collaboration with Anne Line Dalsgård. In relation to teaching I am currently developing a course Etnografisk tekst as well as a series of writing workshops to be integrated as part of our educational programmes.
