N2 - Newly reported synthetic procedures to access pyrans and their benzo derivatives from 2007 to 2018 are summarized. The sub-chapters are organized by the structural similarity starting from pyrans, reduced, oxidized, and benzene-fused structures. Mechanistic considerations and relevant substrate scope are discussed for each transformation to help readers to access necessary information.
