Karen Lauterbach has been guest in Kristoffer Lind’s podcast series on doomsday cults (in Danish). In this podcast Kristoffer and Karen talk about ‘The Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandmenst of God’ in Uganda. The movement is known for what was first seen as a mass suicide in March 2000, when their church was burnt. Due to the finding of several mass graves later, the incident was reinterpreted as a mass murder. This podcast is about the origin of the movement, the role of the Mary movement, Mary visions and links to earlier religious ideas around fertility.
