My research include
- Epidemiological studies of the impact of sedentary behaviour, physical activity, fitness and muscle strength on biomarkers and chronic disease. Dose-response relationship between physical activity and various health outcomes. The relationship between environmental factors and physical activity/ sedentary behaviour.
- Interventions and strategies for promotion of physical activity and reduction of sedentary behaviour in chronic patient populations and the general population .
- Measurement of physical activity, sedentary behaviour and fitness by objective and self-report methods, including development and validation of methods for application in large study populations
