Isabella completed her Msc.Eng. in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from Technical University of Denmark in 2016. Shortly after she was hired as a PhD student in Brunak Group, Translational Disease Systems Biology, Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research.
In the Brunak group she works on several different projects involving the Danish National Patient Registry, temporal disease trajectories and comorbidities. Her main focus in the PhD is identifying under- and over-diagnosed diseases by imputation of diagnoses in disease trajectories, primarily Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Addtionally she is working on an EU funded project for “Real world Outcomes across the Alzheimer’s Disease spectrum for better care: Multi-modal data Access Platform” (ROADMAP). She has also been working on identifying common comorbidities of patients in the Danish registry affected by chromomal abnomalities.
