I am a biologist with a PhD in Biochemistry and my motivation resides in understanding how nature functions, in order to preserve the environment and to improve human life in a sustainable way.
Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher, I am using metabolomics and quantitative proteomics for investigating metabolon formation in Petunia flowers during the biosynthesis of anthocyanins (natural colors). These findings will be applied for improving the large-scale production of anthocyanin and other flavonoids in yeast.
With 6 years of experience in scientific research, I have been engaged in multidisciplinary projects, thus developing a wide range of skills, from analytical chemistry to ecophysiology, including:
• Metabolomics (HPLC, GC-MS and LC-MS/MS)
• Proteomics (LC-MS/MS)
• Molecular biology
• Data analysis, multivariate statistics (chemometrics) and machine learning in MATLAB and R.
