I am currently working on:

  •  Geo- and biopolitical analyses of actors and network involved in the EU's border control technologies
  • Analyses of the dynamics of securitization concerning "illegal immigration" to Europe
  • Flows of funds and the privatisation of immigration control
  • Normative values and arguments concerning the European externalisation of asylumpolicies
  • Political, sociological and normative issues relating to nationalistic right wing parties and movements in Europe and immigration og integration policies concerning minorities.
  • Dynamics and normative discourses regarding irregular migration and externalised control in the relations between EU and Turkey.
  • Postcolonial continuities in EU´s asylum and border control policies.
  • The reception and integration of refugees in the Danish communes.

June 2008: MA in philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, Thesis: ”The Composition, Delimitation and Justification of the Liberal Nation: A Critical Assessment of Liberal Nationalism.”

2009: Ph.D.student under CESEM and the department of philosophy at the university of Copenhagen.

Summer 2009: Participant in Refugee Studies Centre´s International Summer School in Forced Migration, University of Oxford, Great Britain.

November 2012-May 1st 2013: Full-time project researcher at Danish Refugee Council for the Integration and Asylum Departments.

May 3rd 2013: Co-organizer of 'The deportation of unaccompanied minors from the EU: family-tracing and government accountability in the European Return Platform for Unaccompanied Minors (ERPUM) project.' Workshop at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford.

May 1st 2013: Post Doc, Centre for Advanced Migration Studies (AMIS), University of Copenhagen. Funded by the Carlsberg Foundation and the Department of Media, Cognition and Communication, University of Copenhagen.
