N2 - This paper reviews, reanalyzes, and extends to the long run the esti-mated effects of integration polices on the employment probabilityand earnings of refugees in Denmark. We first describe the dynamicsof labor market outcomes of refugees in Denmark. We then find thatincreased language training and initial placement in strong labor mar-kets improved refugees’ long-run labor market outcomes, while cut-ting initial welfare payments and placing refugees near other refugeesdid not improve them. Policies focused on matching refugees withoccupations experiencing shortages have positive short-run effects, butwe cannot yet assess their long-run effects.
