I work as a Post Doc at Forest & Landscape, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Over the last few years I have worked with biomass and its various functions in relation to agriculture (decomposition), the potential for bioethanol production and biological variation.
Currently my job focuses on either wheat straw or enzymes. These areas are an opportunity to optimize the bioethanol process to make it more competitive: Either by finding a better biomass - and knowing exactly how this genotype of straw should be treated - or by being able to recycle enzymes again and again thereby lowering production costs. My studies range from milligram scale to full scale at Dong's ethanol plant in Kalundborg.
Additionally I have an extensive interdisciplinary network of collaborators within agricultural policy, volunteer projects in development countries, farmers, and national and international researchers in bioenergy
