Translational Metabolic Physiology
Blegdamsvej 3, 2200 København N, Bygning 6, Building: 06-6-28
Primary fields of research
My primary interest: Translational medicine focusing on the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes/obesity hereof more recently focus on the liver-alpha cell axis.
Assesment of hormones secreted from the gut (GLP-1, glucagon, Neurotensin, and Oxyntomodulin) upon nutrients stimulation is one of my high priority - developing new methods for measurement and linking them in a clinical context.
In addtion, I am working with mass-spectrometry based proteomics focusing on plasma proteomics/peptidomics for biomarker identification and their potential use for clinical diagnostics and risk assessment.
