I am a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Plant and Soil Science Section. I have a PhD in organic agriculture and my core academic qualifications are within farming system analysis, particularly within sustainable management of natural resources with a strong focus upon soil fertility and soil nutrient management at different scales. My responsibilities for 2012 include: i. Project management of a new Marie Curie International Training Network programme, ReUseWaste ( www.reusewaste.eu); ii. Teaching, primarily on the sustanable land use (SLUSE) field course: Interdisciplinary Land-use and Natural Resource Management (ILUNRM) ( www.sluse.dk) in Kenya; iii. Research dealing with nutrient management and land-use. In 2012, my research efforts will focus on: i) a paper investigating the effect of soil organic matter on grain yields in Denmark and, ii) Carbon dynamics and land-use change from the spread of Acacia species in natural grasslands in South Africa. Please feel free contact me should you be interesting in hearing more about the projects I am involved in.
