Drug Delivery and Biophysics of Biopharmaceuticals
Universitetsparken 2, 2100 København Ø, Building: 13-4-417
My research interests are in soft polymeric drug delivery systems for biopharmaceuticals. I assemble formulations of peptides or proteins (antimicrobial peptides, cell-penetrating peptides, small proteins) with amphiphilic polymers by controlling the molecular properties and formulation conditions.
I use small angle neutron scattering to investigate the structures of these delivery systems, characterize them in terms of physicochemical properties and drug interactions with/transport across biological matrices such as bacteria, biofilms and epithelial cells, and also apply them in biosimilar in vitro and in vivo models.
