I’m an MD, graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2017, with a special interest in Radiology. For my Ph.D., I am currently studying a new ultrasound technique called Super-Resolution Ultrasound Imaging (SRI) with a focus on diabetes.
Prior to the start of my Ph.D., I had an introductory position at the Department of Radiology at Rigshospitalet.
My Ph.D. is a collaboration between the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Panum, the Department of Radiology at Rigshospitalet, the Center for Fast Ultrasound at DTU, and BK Medical.
We are looking at changes within the renal microvasculature correlated to diabetes; initially in rats and later in humans. Our aim with this research is to ultimately change the general diagnostics, the treatment initiation as well as the overall monitoring of patients with diabetes.
