Hello! Currently, I work as a PhD Fellow on the MetICE project where we study:
1) diurnal and seasons dynamics of methane (CH4) and CO2 emissions from subglacial meltwater of the Greenland Ice Sheet,
2) the source of the CH4 and
3) how emissions are linked to glacial hydrology and hydrochemistry.
For long-term monitoring of dissolved CH4 in glacial meltwater, we are developing low-cost, low-power sensors named "the IceWorms".
In side projects, I am exploring other glaciated areas to search for yet unknown glaciers that emitt CH4 to learn more about the spatial distrubution of this recently discovered phenomenon.
