In my PhD project, I study the internal and external dynamics of moderne and premoderne political units. More broadly speaking, my research is situated within the field of historical political economy. Using (primarily) quantitative methods and drawing on a range of various data sources I examine developments within economic weatlh and interaction as well as political consolidation and competition for the past two thousand years.
My primary supervisor is Jacob Gerner Hariri.
