Current research
Understanding your baby is a research project conducted in collaboration with a number of Danish municipalities. We develop a systematic, research-based intervention for first-time parents delivered by health nurses during routine visits. The aim of the intervention is to increase parents' knowledge and understanding of their infant's social and emotional needs.
In the first half of the project, we examine the well-being among first-time mothers and fathers. In the second half of the project, we examine if the parents recieving the Understanding Your Baby-Intervention experience higher levels of parental competence compared to parents recieving care as usual.
The project period is 2019-2022. The project is funded by the Nordea-Foundation with 10.200.000 DKK.
