I am a PhD candidate in Global Development at the Department of Economics, where I am part of the Development Economics Research Group (DERG). My supervisor is John Rand. I hold a B.Sc. in Economics from Heidelberg University and a M.Sc. in Global Development from Copenhagen University, and I have previously worked for UNU-WIDER.
Currently, I am visiting Eric Verhoogen at Columbia University in New York City, where I am spending one semester as a visting scholar.
Primary fields of research
My main research interests are development economics, international trade, economic geography, and international politics and conflicts. I work both with cross-country data as well as with country specific data, where my focus lies on Myanmar.
