My project focusses on the female germ line. In our lab we are interested in the cause for aneuploidy and the pathways associated to ovarian ageing. I am interested in the underlying mechanisms leading to an abnormal chromosome content in female germ cells. During my PhD project I aim to gain in deeper insight in the connection between DNA damage response, meiotic recombination and germ cell development.

My master focussed on the migration of gliobastoma cells in-vitro. I established a system that could measunre the velocity of the cells using life cell imaging and PCL- fibers. We were interested in how different matrix proteins, such as laminin or fibronectin would influence the migratory behavior of the cancer cells.
