Primary fields of research
I combine economic theory, empirical evidence, and randomized experiments to provide policy insights on world’s most pressing issues in agriculture, climate change, health, development, environment, and other related topics.
Fields of interest
Primary fields of interest: Applied Microeconomics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Health Economics, Development Economics.
Secondary fields of interest: Economics of Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights.
Current research
My current research focuses on evaluating the implications of economic incentives and regulations of market failure (externality and asymmetric information) in agro-environment (e.g., antimicrobial resistance and climate change) and agricultural commodity markets. I also work on designing incentives for addressing issues of market failure in commons (e.g., antimicrobial resistance and climate change). I am affiliated with CeBIL, where my role primarily focuses on evaluating impacts of economic incentives and policies for intellectual property rights in biomedical innovation.
