My PhD research focuses on the psychology and epistemology of disagreement. I am particularly interested in the cognitive and epistemic benefits of disagreement. One branch of my project involves investigating the conditions under which deliberations between people who disagree confer benefits, and the underlying psychological mechanisms at play. Another branch focuses on the normative implications of such benefits for theories of epistemic rationality and deliberative democracy.

I am a member of the research project Convergent Ethics and the Ethics of Controversy (CEEC).

Primary fields of research
