My research revolves around the significance of place, space, time and social relationships in relation to health, well-being and care. My current work focuses on how the introduction of video consultations in specialist practice in Denmark transforms the sensory, spatial and intuitive aspects of medical practices and patient-provider relationships.
My previous research has been concerned with the potential of schools to support the psychosocial well-being of children and young people who recently arrived in Denmark as refugees or immigrants. Through an ethnographic approach, I have sought to understand how everyday caring practices of teachers - and amongst the children and young people themselves - take different shapes in different school environments.
