On Thursday, December 8 in Washington, DC, the Atlantic Council and the Center for Strategic and International Studies, on behalf of NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, will host a strategy seminar, “Smart Defense and NATO 2012 Chicago Summit.” The goal of the seminar is to advance development of the Alliance’s Smart Defense concept and refine the potential content of its key pillars: Cooperation, Specialization, and Prioritization. We would be honored if you would participate in this event, and share your insights and thoughts on the Alliance’s “Smart Defense” initiative as we approach NATO’s May 2012 summit. Participants of the workshop will include representatives from NATO HQ, and HQ SACT, senior officials, and a select group of American and European experts. The seminar will culminate with a dialogue with General Stéphane Abrial, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation to review the day’s findings and recommendations.
