The focus was the following issues: Bridging Medical Law, Bioethics and Legal Medicine, Advanced Medicine and Medical Law and Global and Glocal Viewpoints of Medical Law in 21st Century. The event took place between August 4-8, 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. The presenters and participants of this conference were mainly from the Japanese and international academic, medical, bioethics, and healthcare community, including a small representation from the international pharmaceutical industry. Her presentation facilitated an exchange with the Japanese audience on the current legal and policy environment in the EU to influence policy making and legislative harmonization at an international level.
