My main fields of reseatch are:
- Interactions between gut pathogens, immune function and the host diet and microbiota
- Novel antimicrobial compounds from natural plant sources
- Parasite-induced modulation of inflammation and immunity
We use in vitro models and experimental infections in both small (mice) and large (pig) animal models.
