  • Within the overall project of a hermeneutical philosophy of religion I am mainly working on the following subprojects: 1. reformulating criticisms of religion and reinterpreting the notion of transcendence. 2. religion and (in)humanity.
  • Within the overall project of a hermeneutical theory of subjectivity and selfhood I am currently working on the following studies: 1. further clarifying the notion of subjectivity as self-relation. 2. subjectivity, interiority, and exteriority, in particular in Kierkegaard and Levinas. 3. the relation of (self)understanding and the situated character of selfhood.
  • Combining insights from studies in philosophy of religion and theory of subjectivity I am working on a project entitled Ambiguities of Subjectivity. The project focuses both on human ambiguities as reflected in religions and on the notion of ambiguity as a key to understanding human subjectivity.
  • Currently I am also engaged in studies on phenomenology of subjectivity in Kierkegaard and phenomenology of spirit in Hegel. The aim is primarily to further clarify the notion of subjectivity as relational and reinterpreting the issue of subjectivity and transcendence.
  • I am currently also working on a project entitled Ethics of Vision, primarily discussing Kierkegaard (love, self, the other) and Hegel (recognition, self, the other). The aim is further to unfold the implications for understanding the relation of self and normativity and the relation of self, emotions and understanding.
